Carolinas Tree Lighting

on Tuesday, 28 November 2017. Posted in Good life, News, Local News

Carolinas Hospital System is holding a Community Tree Lighting on Saturday, Dec. 2, on its main campus, 805 Pamplico Highway. The event is free and open to the community.

Festivities will get underway starting at 4 p.m. There will be hot cocoa, cookies, kids crafts, pictures with Santa, live music and an evening movie with popcorn. Live music will include choir performances by elementary and middle school students and Pee Dee TUBACHRISTMAS.

Pee Dee TUBACHRISTMAS is part of the national Merry TUBACHRISTMAS events happening every December in more than 300 cities and foreign countries. Celebrating its 44th anniversary, TUBACHRISTMAS is made up of tuba, baritone and euphonium players from across the state and North Carolina. The group will play Christmas carols exclusively written for the tuba.

“We’d like to invite the community and surrounding area to join us for this holiday event,” said Gary Malaer, Carolinas Hospital System CEO. “The holidays are a special time to be with loved ones and this event will be a great activity for the whole family. We hope to see everyone for this free event.”
