School district to conduct volunteer training class
Florence One announces that a training class for persons interested in becoming a volunteer mentor or tutor to work with students will be held on Tuesday, November 7th, beginning at 5:30 p.m., at the Florence One District Office, located at 319 South Dargan Street. Interested persons are required to attend only one training session, which is free of charge.
In order to qualify for the training session, an application and SLED check form must be completed. These forms are found on the Florence One website. Go to www.fsd1.org and select “Departments,”“Human Resources,” and “Parents and Volunteers.” There is a link to the application and background check in the second paragraph.
