TKA soccer player participates in Olympic Development Program
Ninth grade student Trotter Scearce, from The King’s Academy, was one of the top 30 soccer players to represent the state of South Carolina at the Region III camp in Tuscaloosa, AL, on July 8-12.
This camp is run by the Olympic Development Program for elite soccer players around the nation to compete with one another in a highly competitive environment. The Olympic Development Program is a nationally recognized program that helps bring soccer players to the forefront for national and international competition.
While at the camp, Trotter competed against teams from south Texas, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Alabama. Trotter has been involved with ODP for four years, and this is his second time to be invited to Region III camp. He has also played for the Florence Soccer Association on their travel team for six years.
